When we first joined RivalN, the platform was at its earliest stage. It was running on a simple MVP with a Firebase database, a legacy UI, and about 2,000 live users. But the vision was far bigger — to create a scalable, user-friendly, and dynamic esports platform that could serve tens of thousands of gamers across multiple titles and regions.

Scaling Up with Technology and Design

In less than a year, we worked side by side with RivalN's product team to transform the platform. We completely redesigned the UI and UX to give the product a fresh, modern look and a smooth experience that could grow with its users.

On the tech side, we:

• Migrated from Firebase to a more stable and scalable database setup, with proper testing and production environments.
• Adopted cross-platform development to ensure seamless mobile experiences.
• Built an admin dashboard with React for efficiency and control.
• Powered the backend with Node.js and sockets to deliver fast, real-time performance.
• we improved the tournament logic so RivalN could host multiple competitions every week, handle far more players, and give operators easier tools to manage everything.

Growing with the Community

As RivalN's community started growing, our work grew with it. Together, we rolled out new business and engagement modules to make the platform richer and more interactive:

The results have been incredible. RivalN went from 2,000 users to a thriving community of more than 220,000 active gamers. It now supports competitions across 18+ games, making it one of the most diverse esports ecosystems in the region.

And it's not just about gamers. RivalN has also grown into B2B services, offering tailored esports solutions for Saudi companies and communities that want to connect with audiences through gaming.
